Sky Is Over
Sky Is Over
Everybody knows,
Everybody knows,
That you cradle the sun, sun
Living in remorse,
Sky is over,
Don’t you want to hold me baby,
Disappointed, going crazy,
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
I don’t want to see you go,
The sky is over
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
Behind closed eyes lie
The minds ready to awaken you,
Are you at war with land
And all of its creatures,
Your not-so-gentle persuasion
Has been known to wreck economies
Of countries, of empires, the sky is over,
Don’t you want to hold me baby,
Disappointed, going crazy,
Not even from the sun,
Not even from the sun
Not even from the sun,
Don’t you want me to run,
Even though you can’t afford
The sky is over,
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
I don’t want to see you go,
The sky is over
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
I don’t want to see you go,
The sky is over
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
I don’t want to see you go,
The sky is over
Even though we can’t afford
The sky is over,
The sky is over us.

I might say that this is your song I love the most. It's so deep, full of meaning, simple yet cadenced, bringing a whole plethora of feelings and sensations. I usually don't enjoy songs that mix many different styles, but you truly surpassed the mistakes musicians usually do when trying so.
Another favorites of mine are Saving Us, The Unthinking Majority, Electron and Left of Center, but surely Sky Is Over is over (no pun intended) them by miles.
Keep up the good work - be it by yourself or on System once more. An analyse that I found interesting is that, although I know your solo project was not intended to be an antithesis of the work on SOAD, your solo work is pretty much the mirrored version of your work there (completely different, but still the same). SOAD's intent, in my opinion, was to spell the blatant truth in pretty a disturbing way, shocking and then causing reflection. Elect The Dead and Imperfect Harmonies work as the inverse, I think. They are both albums that we hear, let the songs cover our head, causing reflection and AFTER leading us to shock. Either way, I was always a great fan of your work.
And sorry for the long post.
